PROJECT BACKGROUND

The main objective of this project is to develop a firmware for a Ground Radar system to generate specific waveforms, using a microcontroller system and a PC application for configuring Radar signal parameters. This system will be used for Geophysical scanning and imaging.

CHALLENGE

The core problem to solve at this project is to program the microcontroller system firmware and to develop a PC GUI application to configure and control Radar Signal parameters to achieve the required waveform as follows:

OUR SOLUTION

The STM32F4 MCU was selected as the system microcontroller and firmware was developed to communicate with PC via USB to obtain required signal parameters. DAC peripheral was programmed to output the signal with certain accuracy and all parts of firmware were integrated together.
